Because every bed is handmade to order in our Melbourne factory, we can only produce a limited number of beds each month. Once a delivery window is fully booked, we move onto the next available spot.

We recommend securing your place in our production schedule early, especially during busy periods.

Unlike mass-produced furniture companies, every Kamári bed is individually handmade from start to finish by Paul in our Melbourne factory.

Because each bed is custom made with a high level of care and detail, we can only produce a limited number each month. Larger orders and custom requests can also take up significant production time.

While the wait can feel long, we believe quality furniture made properly is worth waiting for. Our kids’ bed is designed by and exclusive to Kamari which has been in very high demand.

Unfortunately no.

Our production queue works on a first come, first served basis, and we feel it’s important to keep the process fair for all families waiting for their orders.

Because each bed is handmade and scheduled carefully into production, we’re unable to move orders ahead by paying an additional fee.

Please fill out our contact form and include the product, size, and any details you already know. We’ll then email you through a quote, delivery estimate, and deposit invoice.

We usually require a 50% deposit to secure your place in our production queue, with the remaining 50% due approximately 2–3 weeks before delivery.

You do not need to decide on your fabric or mattress before placing your order. We recommend securing your delivery spot first with a deposit, then choosing your fabric once you’ve received and viewed the samples in person.

Because each bed is handmade to order and delivery windows can book out quickly, your order is only locked in once the deposit has been paid.

If your postcode does not show, please contact us and we will obtain a quote from one of our delivery partners.

We only delivery within Australia.

FAQs Tulum Kids bed

Questions about the Tulum Kids Bed? We’ve answered some of the most common ones below to help make the process a little easier.

No. The mattress sits on supportive timber slats positioned approximately 6cm off the floor to allow for airflow and breathability underneath the mattress.

The low-to-ground design is intentional and helps make the transition from a cot to a “big bed” feel safer and more comfortable for younger children.

The Tulum Kids Bed is designed to help make the transition from a cot to a “big bed” feel safer and more comfortable for little ones.

Most families purchase the bed when their child is ready to transition from their cot, usually from around 2-4 years of age, however every child is different.

With its soft upholstery, rounded frame, and built-in guard rails, the Tulum Kids Bed is designed to grow with your child while still feeling timeless in your home.

We offer the bed in Single, King Single, Double, Queen, and King sizes depending on your family’s needs and the space available.

We generally recommend a mattress thickness between 18–25cm for the Tulum Kids Bed, however we custom build the frame to suit your mattress thickness.

This helps ensure the proportions, mattress recess, and guard rail height work nicely together.

We can accommodate mattresses up to approximately 31cm thick if needed, however this would be the thickest we recommend aesthetically.

If you already have a mattress or are planning to purchase one elsewhere, simply let us know the thickness when ordering so we can build the bed accordingly.

The guard rails on the Tulum Kids Bed generally sit approximately 13cm–20cm above the top of the mattress, depending on the mattress thickness used.

Because every bed is custom made to suit your chosen mattress, the exact height can vary slightly to ensure the proportions and mattress recess work nicely together.

We carefully design the bed to feel both practical for little ones transitioning from a cot and aesthetically balanced within your home.

Yes, our optional screw-on legs can usually be added to the Tulum Kids Bed at a later date if you decide you would like the bed raised slightly off the floor in the future.

Our standard legs are 7cm high, however we can also source taller legs if preferred.

Many families choose to keep the bed lower to the ground while their child is younger, then add legs later on as they grow. You can also order the legs separately down the track if needed.

The Tulum Kids Bed is built using a combination of pine wood, MDF, practical board & hard wood, and is wrapped in Australian-made foam and Dacron for a soft, rounded finish.

The bed base includes supportive pine timber slats for mattress airflow and support.

Every bed is individually handmade to order in our Melbourne factory and upholstered in your chosen fabric from our curated fabric ranges.

No, some assembly is required.

The Tulum Kids Bed arrives in 3 packages and is quite heavy, so we recommend having two people available for assembly. The bed is packaged this way to help ensure it can be transported safely into your home.

There is also a step-by-step assembly tutorial available on our YouTube page to help make the process as easy as possible.

If you are located in Melbourne, we offer an assembly service for an additional fee. For some areas in NSW and QLD, our freight partners may also offer a white glove delivery and assembly service for an additional fee depending on your location.
